Have you ever thought about running for Council?
Maybe you’ve sat back and thought, “I have some ideas about how we could do this differently.” Maybe there are things you’d like to see happen in the Municipality, or maybe you simply care about where our community is headed.
Well…this could be your opportunity to bring those ideas to the table.
The Rural Municipality of North Shore will be holding a General Election, and we encourage eligible residents who are interested in serving their community to consider putting their name forward for Council.
To be eligible to run, you must:
– Be a Canadian citizen
– Be 18 years of age or older
– Be a resident in the Rural Municipality of North Shore ( Stanhope, West Covehead, Pleasant Grove, Covehead, and Grand Tracadie) for at least six months immediately before Election Day.
You don’t need to have all the answers. Council brings together people with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives to make decisions about the community we all call home.
Bring your voice to the table. Consider running for Rural Municipality of North Shore Council.
Nomination information and additional election details will be available at the Office.
