Call for Council Nominations for Municipal By Election
Notice of Nomination Proceedings
PURSUANT TO SECTION 42 OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT, AND SUBSECTION 25(1) OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION REGULATIONS
Public notice is hereby given to the electors of the Rural Municipality of North Shore that a Municipal By Election will be held on September 15, 2025, to elect a councilor for Ward 3 and for the Rural Municipality of North Shore for the term of office terminating on November of 2026.
The nomination period for the Council positions noted above commences on Wednesday August 20, 2025, and closes at 4:00 pm on Nomination Day on Friday August 29, 2025.
Nominations shall only be received during office hours at the election office, located at 2120 Rte 25, Covehead Road, West Covehead, PE.
The election office hours shall be:
Tuesday August 19, 2025 – 9:00am- 4:00 pm
Wednesday, August 20, 2025 – 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Tuesday, August 26, 2025- 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Wednesday August 27, 2025- 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Tuesday, September 2, 2025- 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Wednesday, September 3, 2025- 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Tuesday, September 9, 2025 – 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Wednesday, September 10, 2025 -9:00am-4:00pm
The deadline for correcting elector information shall be no later than 11:59 am on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
